WHY DO MOUNTAIN BIKE HELMETS HAVE VISORS?

Mountain bike helmets have a visor because Mountain bikers are more upright than cyclists on road bikes, so a visor can be used to protect from sun glare. Wind drag is of little worry as the biker is typically moving at a slower pace.

HOW TO CHOOSE A MOUNTAIN BIKE HELMET?

MTB Helmets vary by cycling specialty - from mountain biking to road biking and beyond. Mountain biking alone has helmets for enduro, all-mountain, cross-country, dirt jumping, and downhill. HOW TO MEASURE FOR A MOUNTAIN BIKE HELMET?

Determine head circumference by taking a flexible tape measure and wrapping it around the widest part of your head (1"" above eyebrows). Alternatively, wrap a string around your head and measure with a yardstick. Use this measurement to find the right size mountain bike helmet.
